BNOTP Inspired !

Well don't you just love it when you see something and darn, you know you will  never  find one.

This was in the  back  of my thoughts as I was walking through  HomeGoods  the other day and saw this.
Busted,  I was there again.
Guess what I saw ?

A  picnic cloche !

I should probably call in  a  dome.  Cloche is such a big word for something under 5 dollars.
I bought 4 of them.
A little  plane
 So here is Miss Susans...
From her blog Between Naps On the Porch
Isn't so cute... adorable..  cookies  too !!

Shere is what I did..
Looked at Susan's again, got hungey and ate an  oreo !
Got  on  Ebay and found these.

A ren't they cute!

The bee....

And  the  dragonfly of coarse ...

Then I had to  wait  because they were coming from China !

China !  What was I going to do while I waited.

I did go to the hardware store and get my wire, that  took  an hour.

So  finally all the parts were in  and  I got started.
The bugs needed to be bent a tiny bit to fit the curve and I broke the first one's wing!
So I had to slow down and be cautious.

See, the first one is on !

A  bunch more to do !!!!!

First one done.
It really was  fun  to make and it came out okay.
Now I need to make three more of these.

If you look careful enough you maybe can see a wire or two.

But they are hidden well enough.
What do you think?

Here is a view from the top.

We eat out in the back yard often.  I think these will work out fine for around the pool.

I'll get them done and  surprise  you with a tablescape sometime !!

Have a happy day, I hope you enjoyed your visit here. I  love comments.

Jules

  3. I absolutely LOVE this! What a great idea. Seeing this took me back to when we used to have big family picnics with checkered tablecloths, big pitchers of lemonade, and a table full of these screened food toppers keeping the flies away.

  12. I don't know if you'll see this, but I had to tell you how much I love these. My husband hates bugs around his food (the real ones, not the nifty crafted ones) He would be so jazzed by this.
